“Throughout, Josh was professional, courteous, tenacious, and knowledgeable. I would absolutely use him again when and if we need to sell our house. As a side note, Josh told us that had previously been employed by the Travis County (Austin) and Bexar County (San Antonio) as a residential tax appraiser. This gave Josh an intimate understanding of the prices and more importantly, the valuation trends in different neighborhoods (beyond just the sales trends available in the MLS). Since the sellers paid the buyer’s agent’s commission, the determining factor of Josh’s pay was the final price of the house. Never did I feel like Josh was steering us toward higher priced houses or only showing us ones in the top end of our price range. In fact, several times, Josh offered that he was showing us houses that we had asked to see, but based on the comps in the area the sellers were asking too much. Like finding an honest mechanic, the real estate market can be confusing, and Josh inspired trust that his knowledge was used for us, and not against us. In fact, the price of the house we finally chose was probably in the bottom quarter of the houses we looked at, but fit us perfectly.”
